Andreas has kindly reviewed a Bengali/Indian restaurant, Shanti Gossip in Stockholm.
Shanti Gossip is the third out of five restaurants opened in Stockholm by owner Nahid Hassan, serving curries, biryani, pakora, paratha, and other dishes from India and Bangladesh.
This particular evening, we started with the Dall Poori with Chana Dall, a delicious lentil curry which comes with deep fried poori bread and a couple of dip sauces.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Kofta Veggie Curry, an explosion of flavours made of deep fried vegetable balls with mustard oil and rolled in bread crumbs, served in a tasty curry of God (and Nahid) knows what spices.
At other visits, we have also tried the Eggplant with Sugar Peas Curry, where half an aubergine has been cut into pieces and mixed with chili, lemon grass, coconut milk and spices, and is served with honey and paratha bread; the Salmon Bengali Curry, where the taste of turmeric mixes perfectly with the ginger, cumin and coriander; and Lamb Biryani, where cinnamon, cloves and saffron melt together to create a delightful dish.

I checked with Bj�rn Frantz�n whether the stock was�really only�made with cabbage and he confirmed it was; just roasted cabbage and a touch of lemon to bring out the flavours.
A stunning dish with fantastic creamy and luxurious flavours, the beer delivering the perfect touch of bitterness and the almonds adding texture and contrast.
A terrific selection of vegetables with great textures and flavours�such as�crisp, sweet, soft, baked, smooth, bitter, fresh, salty, pickled and�dried.
Loved the build-up of flavours in this dish: first the sweet and earthy flavours of the scallops and the truffle, followed by the intensity of the beurre noisette and the yuzu and�finally the�gorgeous creamy finish from the egg.
An exquisite dish with very detailed flavours; first the delicate lamb tartare, intensified by the lamb jus, then a layer of well-balanced North African flavours, the soft aubergine, the warm and fragrant cumin, the salty feta and finally the lamb brisket to add an extra dimension to the lamb tartare.

In May 2016, the chef duo opened up Adam/Albin on Rådmannsgatan 16 – a laidback neighborhood bistro meets fine dining restaurant right on the border of Östermalm and Vasastan.
Besides the tasteful interior with brass details, marble, and mint green colors, Adam/Albin is not your typical fine dining restaurant.
The menu at Adam/Albin costs SEK 895 and consists of five courses.
, priced at SEK 145, and a signature dish of poached oyster with aubergine purée, caviar, and whipped cream with chicken flavor that came complimentary from the kitchen.
From the second course, which was the first selection we got to make, lamb tartare had to make way for a creamy Swedish buffalo mozzarella, with almond sauce, topped with perfect slivers of green avocado, smoked figs, and thyme.
