Kvista förbi Vasaparken och hugg några bitar finpizza när du ändå är på språng.

Lokal: Liten, trångt och mysigt Vin och dryck: Jodå, några vinflaskor finns det. Extra information: Ägs av Ritorno som ligger bredvid.

På focaccialiknande surdegsbottnar bakas här pizza al taglio, det vill säga pizzor tillredda i långpanna och uppskurna i fyrkantiga slajsar.

En ruta kostar 40 kr, och ovanpå ligger allt från potatis och rosmarin till kantareller och asiago-ost.

Dagens fyllningar står uppskrivna på en griffeltavla och förutom de väldoftande pizzorna finns lite antipasti och ostar.

Ekstedt puts on some coffee and checks on the barbeque out front (the 37-year-old is famous for cooking with wood-fire only at his eponymous Stockholm restaurant: no gas, no electricity ).

His wife Katarina, a former pro snowboarder, and their two young boys (Vinston and John) return from town and we gather at the kitchen table for lunch: a magnificent whole turbot, grilled and finished in the oven.

It’s kind of ironic because the ski academy is supposed to be the best in the country but they never deliver any talent, whereas the cooking school produce all the best chefs in the country.

That year we had a new teacher in culinary arts who had a great way of inspiring the students: he taught us a lot of things, showed us cool cookbooks, he was pretty nice guy.

There is almost no similarity between cooking in the restaurant and cooking at home, so it’s kind of nice.

You can either grab something to go or sit down, depending on if you have the time for a leisurely lunch.

Still having my friends here from Italy, we started our day early walking around the city sightseeing so by the early afternoon we started to get very hungry and decided a lunch stop was in order.

During lunch time a small salad, and a selection of homemade breads, my favorite being the apricot walnut, is included with your meal.

My friends went for a salmon plate and the meat loaf while I had the vegetarian stuffed gorgonzola pasta (the only vegetarian item on the menu).

If you enjoy their food as much as my friends did, then you might also consider using them the next time you need catering for a large event or party!

A gorgeous food hall from the 1880s, the busy Old Haymarket and the youngest one, the South Halls, have made Stockholm the most ‘appetizing’ capital in Scandinavia.

Østermalm Food Hall with counters and shelves packed with the best of the finest also houses numerous restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy traditional Swedish delicacies, with an emphasis on seafood and “husmannskost” (classic Swedish fare).

Until 2018 the food hall is being renovated and the food stalls and restaurants are moved to a temporary covered market situated on the square.

Hötorget is the epitome of Stockholm cosmopolitan bustle.

The food halls have daytime opening hours (closed on Sundays).
