When I’m around the main shopping areas at Drottninggatan or around Slussen and I have the time and a roaring belly, I can’t really help getting a pretty healthy taco-fix.
This is the place where you can find home-made tortillas with tasty fillings, authentic hot sauces and fresh coriander/ cilantro with plenty of veggie options too.
I have visited Mexico / Central America a couple of times, I can tell you – more authentic and tasty is going to be hard to find around here.
A quick bite before a movie, a concert, in-between meals or for lunch – it’s always a good time.
I order at the counter where the tortilla and taco dishes are made in front of my eyes; I pay, get a buzzer and by the time it beeps, I’m overly excited to pick up my order.

If you ask a local where you can enjoy a cheap and tasty bite, chances are they’ll mention La Neta.
It’s a simple cafeteria-style restaurant offering a range of hearty tacos, quesadillas and other Mexican delights at very reasonable prices, at least by Stockholm standards.
Stockholm’s food scene unfortunately doesn’t offer a big selection of affordable dinner options.
La Neta is a rare and welcome exception.

In the summer of 2009, Licona and Medrano opened the first La Neta on Barnhusgatan, just off Drottninggatan near Norra Bantorget and it didn't take long for the restaurant to change the face of Mexican dining in Stockholm.
The restaurant was also nominated for Restaurant of the Year by Stockholm City newspaper, and in April 2010 La Neta was named as a "Best Import" by Monocle magazine, winning praise for being a "welcome respite to from the tasteless, additive-packed TexMex" available in local stores.

In late 2012, La Neta headed south of the border – the border between Stockholm's north and south side, that is – opening a second restaurant on Södermalm close to the Medborgarplatsen (and, incidentally, in the same building as The Local).
According to Licona, the success of La Neta, which now boasts a Spanish-speaking staff of 25 people with 10 nationalities "90 percent" of whom are non-Swedes, is due in no small part to the restaurant's strong association with the city's growing Mexican and Latin American communities.
