Restaurang Blå Dörren öppnades i november 1993 och namnet är ärvt av en krog som låg i kvarteret i slutet av 1600-talet.
Tack vare att huset är kulturmärkt fick vi inte ta fram den blåa färgen till ytterdörren.

Blå Porten is to be comprehensively renovated over a two-year period.
Stage 1 involves the complete renovation of the existing Blå Porten.
Stage 2 involves a restaurant wing being added to Liljevalchs Art Gallery and Blå Porten’s kitchen will be located to serve both Blå Porten and Liljevalchs.
Blå Porten’s renovation will include the kitchen, WC and restaurant areas.
Liljevalchs has given Wingårdhs the mission of creating a new, additional wing, including a restaurant, for the Liljevalchs Art Gallery, which will open in 2020 at the latest.

I am a little bit embarrassed to write that after more than three years living in Stockholm I had never been to Blå Dörren.
It is apparently a very popular restaurant serving traditional Swedish food and it is always booked in the evenings.
Thank goodness that we did make reservations because the restaurant was packed when we arrived at 19.00 You may also enjoy: Blå Dörren’s menu consists of traditional Swedish food and drinks.
One of the best things about this restaurant is their extensive Swedish beer collection.
Besides the usual standard light beers you find at most restaurants and bars, you will also find lesser known Swedish beers including dark and wheat beers.
