Unfortunately when I chose to take the ferry the other day and spend the afternoon in Djurgården with my friends it was cold and windy, so we were not up for walking around the island all day.
Now every time I have out of town guests I take them here because it serves great traditional Swedish food in a very homey atmosphere.
My friends were very keen on trying Swedish meatballs so they both ordered the same thing while I went for the cheese and spinach quiche.
I am happy to say that my friends loved every bite including the Swedish knäckebröd and they said that the meatballs surpassed their expectations.
I have come here many times for the quiche but have enjoyed soups and salads over the years as well.

Run by the same family since 1974 this shabby Bohemian-style pub serves Czech-inspired home cooking and a variety of fantastic Czech beers in a cozy east-European atmosphere.
You can see vintage bottles of various Czech beers and a hockey stick signed by various legendary veteran players at the bar.
Once a year the owners hold a Czech Beer festival which takes place in the beginning of spring where they feature over 20 draft beers from the Czech and Slovak republic.
Don’t come here looking for a Falcon or HOF as Soldaten Švejk features the best beers that the Czech Republic has to offer, imported from the country itself.
They are one of the few bars that have an importer license which allows them to bring the beers they want direct from Czech breweries.

Um dos pratos que eu já experimentei e gostei bastante é a panqueca de batata, servida com bacon e uma frutinha típica da Escandinávia chamada lingon, que é meio doce e meio amarga ao mesmo tempo.
Como não dá pra fazer reserva o ideal é chegar cedo para garantir uma mesa já que o ambiente é pequeno.
Para pegar uma boa mesa o ideal é chegar no horário certo.
A menos, é claro, que você esteja preparado para esperar no bar até que libere uma mesa.
