Bleck på Katarina Bangata öppnar sin uteservering nu

När Kalle Schröder öppnade krogen Bleck strax söder om Ringvägen var det solen och parken som lockade.

– Nu när parken blivit så fin så vill vi utnyttja det och öppnar upp redan nästa, helg 23 februari, säger krögaren Kalle Schröder.

Bättre längre ner på Söder Kalle Schröder tror också att, med en helt nyrenoverad park i kvarteret, att den sista biten av Ringvägen kommer få ytterligare ett uppsving.

– Det är för mycket folk och för lite sol på till exempel Nytorget, Jag tror folk har tröttnat på det. Klubbprofil öppnar kycklingkrog i City Ny kock, ny meny Den här säsongen satsar Bleck också på att höja sig lite i köket.

Du äter på tills du är mätt och en rätt tar inte mer än tio minuter att ta fram, menar Kalle Schröder som inte vill låsa fast sig i traditioner.

Bleck restaurant opened at the beginning of summer 2015 in Lilla Blecktornsparken, Stockholm and almost immediately became one of Södermalms most favourable new meeting spots.

It wasn’t until he found out about plans to modernise the area that he realised Bleck could revitalize this sleepy corner of Ringvägen and Katarina Bangata.

Architect Johan Lytz was given practically full creative freedom and together with the team behind Bleck succeeded in turning this previously anonymous environment into a now inviting andinspiring setting.

And from all corners of the restaurant there is of course a view overlooking the park.

Johan Lytz chose Massproductions Jig Mesh chairs, Jig Mesh bar stools and Odette tables for the outdoor area and Odette table bases for the restaurant.

Residents flock here for a delectable marriage of Italian, French and Swedish food.

In 1954 Stellan Åström designed and opened a café and hired a young Polish woman to work there.

More than 60 years later Magdalena, who became Mrs Åström, still comes in each week to bake an array of traditional Swedish pastries.

The superlative brew here is sourced from Lund-based Love Coffee Roasters; modest but excellent food completes the offering.

Few patrons take their coffee to go: the atmosphere is as much of an attraction as the black stuff.
