A few weeks ago I partnered up with Danyel to try some raw food at Matapoteket.
The menu consists of small and big tapas, for example mini pizzas, falafel, soups, salads, and spring rolls.
We decided to try their mix plate with a selection from their menu, a beet root burger and an acai cake.
The mix plate contained carrot falafel, a mini pizza, spring roll, “ocean stick” with tartar sauce and flax-seed crackers with hummus.
To drink we tried their juices, one with carrot and one with beet root.

Sunday morning is always a good time to embrace new inspirations, that’s why I decided myself to try something completely new for me: raw and vegan food.
To be honest, I have never been too drawn to the idea of raw nor vegan food.
Having a bit of trouble to decide what to get since the menu is extensive and appealing enough to make you wanna try everything, we zero in on the large tapas platter: minivpizza made of dehydrated sunflower seed bread with avocado, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, rocket salad and chasew cream; carrot falafel (semi warm and straight out of the dehydrator at 42 degrees Celsius) with sauerkraut, pickled red onions and chili sauce; “ocean sticks” with tartar sauce, lemon and dill; mainly raw spring rolls with chili and tamari (gluten free soy); leek and Brazil nut dip with linseed crackers.
Then, when eating a bit of everything, we both agreed that it felt fresh and clean, which is one of the best advantages of raw and vegan food.
And, on top of that, if you consider the healthy and environmentally conscious approach of raw and vegan food, Matapoteket is a new favorite of mine.
